ABOUT
ME

I enjoy making lovely things
Having a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and a minor in drawing, I have worked for over 24 years in the advertising industry as a graphic designer. My experience has ranged from print design of a wide variety of media to web advertising. In addition, I served over 11 years as a Graphics Coordinator which involved supervisory leadership and artistic direction of the Advertising Creative Services Department for The Akron Beacon Journal. Presently teaching Visual Communication and Design at Cuyahoga Community College, I also work as a substitute teacher for the Copley-Fairlawn City School District.

A positive and motivated teacher, I enjoy providing students with a dynamic learning environment where they can become fully engaged. Attaining my Master's in Curriculum & Instruction: Multi-Age (P-12) Visual Arts Education, I have spent the past two summers working with Firestone High School students on the community Arts LIFT project. This involved mural painting both the Freedom Trail head for Summit Metro Parks and the Crave Building in conjunction with The Downtown Akron Partnership. My artistic interests and abilities are far-reaching including graphic design, photography, painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, metals, and blacksmithing.
